“Geisha can kick! Kick!”
In the blood-spattered, mad-hattered spirit of THE MACHINE GIRL, TOKYO GORE POLICE and VAMPIRE GIRL vs. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL, Noboru Iguchi ‘s ROBOGEISHA is ensured cult status with its rectal katana blades, oral buzz-saws and breast machine guns (“They never fail!”). But despite all of that, it’s really a sweet story of two sisters, and the mayhem that ensues when sibling rivalry and body modification strike head-on.
The sisters in question, elder Kikue and junior Yoshie, are indoctrinated as geisha and forced into positions on a squad of fierce cybernetic killers. At the command of an evil businessman and his son, Kikue excels at her deadly work, while Yoshie uses her skills to avenge the families of other geisha who have been kidnapped and brutally murdered.
ROBOGEISHA offers the discerning fan a silly, insane, gruesomely funny experience. We caution newcomers to prepare themselves for a very different night at the movies. You’ll never view fried shrimp the same way again.
